Perfect Love Casts Out Fear

Devotional: Fear can be a powerful force in our lives, but God's love is even more powerful. 1 John 4:18 says, 'There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.' When we fully experience God's perfect love, it expels all fear. This doesn't mean that we will never feel afraid, but it does mean that we can trust in God's love to carry us through those moments. Today, consider the fears that are holding you back and ask God to replace them with His perfect love.
