A Weary World Rejoices [Joy In Place Of Despair] Devotional Day 5
Joy Of The Lord
Devotional
Rejoicing in the Lord is a powerful way to experience joy. Philippians 4:4 encourages us to 'Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!' And 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 encourages us to 'Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.'
This command to always be joyful, or always be full of joy in the Lord, is not dependent on our circumstances but on our relationship with God. When we focus on His goodness and promises, we can find joy even in the midst of despair. Rejoicing in the Lord involves praising Him for who He is and for what He has done. It means celebrating His love, grace, and faithfulness. By making a habit of rejoicing in the Lord, we can cultivate a joyful heart and experience the fullness of His joy.
