Waymaker [Through The Impossible] Devotional - Day 4

Trust God's Plan

Devotional: Sometimes God leads us around the long way for our benefit. Exodus 13:17-22 shows us that God led the Israelites through the wilderness instead of the shorter route to the Promised Land. It may not make sense where God is leading you, but His ways are higher than our ways. Trust in God's plan through the impossible. He knows what keeps you up at night and the pain you don't talk about. He is all-knowing and His timing is perfect. Follow Him, even when the path seems unclear.

Verse: When Pharaoh finally let the people go, God did not lead them along the main road that runs through Philistine territory, even though that was the shortest route to the Promised Land. God said, 'If the people are faced with a battle, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.' So God led them in a roundabout way through the wilderness toward the Red Sea. Thus the Israelites left Egypt like an army ready for battle. - Exodus 13:17-18

Question: In what ways can you trust God's plan and timing, even when it doesn't make sense to you?

Quote: Sometimes God leads us around the long way for our benefit. For your benefit.

Prayer: Father, help me to trust Your plan and timing, even when it doesn't make sense. Lead me through my impossible situations and give me the courage to follow You. Amen.
