More Than Enough [God's Plan] Devotions Day 3

Strength in Vulnerability

Devotional
We live in a world that celebrates strength and hides weakness. Social media feeds are filled with highlight reels, success stories, and carefully curated images of perfection. Admitting vulnerability feels dangerous, like giving our enemies ammunition. But what if vulnerability is actually where our greatest power lies? Gideon's 300 men were vulnerable in every human sense. They were outnumbered, outgunned, and facing impossible odds. By worldly standards, they were set up for failure. Yet this vulnerability became the stage for God's great display of power. When we're strong in our own eyes, we tend to rely on ourselves. We strategize, manipulate, and work harder to control outcomes. But when we're vulnerable... when we've reached the end of our rope, we finally create space for God to work. Our weakness becomes an invitation for His strength. This doesn't mean we should seek out difficult situations or avoid using the gifts and abilities God has given us. But it does mean we should stop seeing our limitations as disqualifications. Instead, they can be the very places where God chooses to show up most powerfully. Paul understood this principle deeply. He learned that God's grace was sufficient, and that divine power works best in human weakness. What feels like your greatest vulnerability might actually be your greatest opportunity to experience God's strength.

Bible Verse
Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. - 2 Corinthians 12:9

Reflection Question
How might God want to use an area of vulnerability or weakness in your life as a display of His strength?

Quote
Vulnerability can actually be a powerful state. It can actually be a place of power for you where you're seeing yourself as weakness. That can be a moment for God's strength to shine through.

Prayer
Lord, help me embrace my weaknesses as opportunities for Your strength to be revealed. Let Your power rest on me in my most vulnerable moments. Amen.
