More Than Just Water Into Wine - Devotions Day 5

Pouring Into Others

Devotional
The miracle at Cana wasn't complete when Jesus transformed the water into wine. The servants had to draw it out and serve it to the guests. They became part of the miracle by sharing what Jesus had created. Without their willingness to pour out what had been transformed, no one would have experienced the joy of the best wine. This is where we come into the story. Once Jesus has filled and transformed us, we're called to pour into others. We become His hands and feet, sharing the love, grace, and hope He's given us. The work we do for God often becomes a blessing for someone else, just as those servants' obedience brought joy to the wedding guests. Many of us are here today because someone poured into our lives. Someone shared their testimony, showed us love when we felt unlovable, or simply lived out their faith in a way that drew us to Jesus. They were like those servants, taking what Jesus had given them and sharing it with others. Now it's our turn. Each of us has a testimony... a story of how Jesus has transformed our emptiness into fullness, our ordinary into extraordinary. These stories aren't meant to be kept to ourselves; they're meant to be shared. When we pour our transformed lives into others, we give Jesus the opportunity to work in their hearts too. Sometimes we hesitate to share because we don't feel qualified or worry our story isn't dramatic enough. But remember, the servants at Cana were just ordinary people doing what Jesus asked. They didn't perform the miracle; they simply shared what He had done. That's all He asks of us too.

Bible Verse
Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!” - Matthew 4:19

Reflection Question
Who in your life needs you to "pour out" the love and transformation Jesus has given you, and what's one practical way you can do that this week?

Quote
Many of us are here today because people poured into our vessel and helped bring us to Jesus so we could be something different, to be something else.

Prayer
Lord, thank You for the people who poured into my life and helped bring me to You. Now use me to pour into others. Give me courage to share my testimony and show Your love to those around me. Help me be faithful in the small acts of service that can lead to big transformations in others' lives. Amen.
