Deeper Still [Trust God] Devotions Day 3
Trust: More Than Just Belief
Devotional
Trust isn't just a nice feeling or passive belief... it's an active choice that transforms how we live. When we truly trust God to go before us, we're acknowledging that His plans are better than ours and His understanding far exceeds our limited perspective. This kind of trust doesn't come naturally; it's cultivated through relationship and tested through trials. But here's what's amazing: God doesn't ask us to trust blindly. He's proven His faithfulness throughout history and continues to demonstrate His character in our lives today. Trust becomes the foundation of our relationship with Him, moving us from anxiety to peace, from fear to confidence. When we trust God to go before us, we're not just hoping things work out... we're actively relying on His promises and His unchanging character. This doesn't mean life becomes easy, but it means we face challenges knowing we're not alone. God sees what's ahead, He knows what's pressing you right now, and He's already working to take care of you.
Bible Verse
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. - Isaiah 41:10
Reflection Question
How can you move from passive belief to active trust in God's character and promises today?
Quote
Trust is the foundation of our relationship with God. It's more than just a passive belief. It is active reliance on his promises and his character.
Prayer
Father, help me build a foundation of trust in You that goes beyond mere belief. Strengthen my faith to actively rely on Your promises and character.
