More Than Enough [God's Calling] Devotions Day 3

God's Presence Is Your Promise

Devotional
After Gideon expressed all his doubts and fears about God's calling, what was God's response? Did He provide a detailed battle plan? Did He promise to remove all obstacles? Did He guarantee success without struggle? No. God's response was beautifully simple and profoundly powerful: 'I will be with you.' This is the same promise God gave to Moses when he felt inadequate for his calling. It's the same promise Jesus gave to His disciples before ascending to heaven. God's presence is His primary promise to those He calls. Think about what this means for your life today. You may not know every step of the journey ahead. You may not feel equipped for what God is asking you to do. You may not see how all the pieces will come together. But you have something far more valuable than a detailed roadmap or perfect qualifications... you have God's promise to be with you. His presence transforms everything. With God beside you, your weaknesses become opportunities for His strength to shine. Your fears become stepping stones to greater faith. Your inadequacies become platforms for His adequacy. You don't need to have it all figured out; you just need to trust that the One who called you will be faithful to walk with you every step of the way.

Bible Verse
The Lord said to him, “I will be with you. And you will destroy the Midianites as if you were fighting against one man.” - Judges 6:16

Reflection Question
How would your perspective on current challenges change if you truly believed and lived as though God's presence was with you in every situation?

Quote
God simply responded with, "I will be with you".

Prayer
Lord, help me to find comfort and courage in Your promise to be with me. When I feel overwhelmed or inadequate, remind me that Your presence is enough. Teach me to rely on You rather than my own strength. Amen.
