Bold Faith [A Touch Of Faith] Devotions Day 3
The Testimony That Transforms
Devotional
The story of the woman with the issue of blood reveals something profound about faith and testimony. After suffering for twelve years, spending all she had on ineffective treatments, she believed Jesus could heal her. With determination, she pushed through the crowd to touch His garment... and was instantly healed. But Jesus didn't let the encounter end there. In a crowded space, He asked, "Who touched me?" Not because He didn't know, but because He wanted more for her than just physical healing. He wanted her to experience the power of testimony. When Jesus called her out, she came forward trembling and told her story publicly. This moment transformed her from someone seeking a private miracle to someone whose testimony could inspire countless others. Jesus gave her the opportunity to not only receive healing but to share it. This teaches us something vital: our encounters with God aren't meant to be private experiences we keep to ourselves. They're testimonies waiting to be shared. When God works in your life, it's never just for you... it's also for those who will hear your story and find hope for their own situations.
Bible Verse
Then the frightened woman, trembling at the realization of what had happened to her, came and fell to her knees in front of him and told him what she had done. - Mark 5:33
Reflection Question
What experience of God's faithfulness in your life needs to be shared as a testimony that could bring hope to someone else?
Quote
"It said that immediately the bleeding stopped and she could feel in her body that she'd been healed of her terrible condition. She could have turned around and walked away. And she would have been alright. She would have been good. Because it had already happened. She'd already gotten her healing. But Jesus didn't want it to end there."
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for working in my life in ways that aren't just for me. Give me courage like the woman in the crowd to share my testimony, even when it makes me vulnerable. Use my story to bring hope and healing to others. Amen.
