The Most Absolute Best Wrapped Gift Ever - Devotions Day 1
The Best Gift Ever Given
Devotional
Christmas morning brings excitement as we unwrap carefully chosen gifts, but have you ever considered that the greatest gift was already unwrapped over 2,000 years ago? When Jesus was born in Bethlehem, God gave humanity the most precious present imaginable... His own Son. This wasn't a last-minute decision or an afterthought. From the foundation of the world, God planned to give us Jesus, knowing we desperately needed salvation. Unlike the temporary joy we get from material gifts that break, wear out, or lose their appeal, Jesus is the gift that keeps on giving. He offers forgiveness for our past, purpose for our present, and hope for our future. Every other gift pales in comparison to what God has freely given us in Christ. The beauty of this gift is that it's not based on our performance or worthiness... it's given out of pure love. While we were still sinners, God wrapped up His love in human flesh and placed it in a manger for all to receive. This Christmas season, as you give and receive gifts, remember that you've already been given the most valuable treasure in the universe. Jesus didn't come with fancy packaging or royal fanfare, but He came with everything you need for life and godliness.
Bible Verse
'For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.' - John 3:16
Reflection Question
How does knowing that Jesus is God's ultimate gift to you change the way you view other blessings and challenges in your life?
Quote
Jesus is the most, absolute best gift you will ever receive.
Prayer
Dear God, thank You for giving me the greatest gift I could ever receive, Your Son Jesus. Help me to never take this incredible gift for granted and to live each day with gratitude for Your amazing love. Amen.
