He Holds The Future [God's Provision] Devotions Day 1
Surrendering Control
Devotional
We often find ourselves gripping tightly to the steering wheel of life, convinced that we know the best route to take. Yet, some of our greatest breakthroughs come when we finally loosen our grip and let God take control. It's not easy to surrender control - it requires trust, vulnerability, and faith. But when we do, we open ourselves to experiencing God's provision in ways we never imagined possible. Think about a time when you tried to force your own solution, only to find that God's plan was far better than anything you could have orchestrated. Surrendering control doesn't mean we become passive; rather, it means we actively trust in God's wisdom and timing over our own limited perspective.
Bible Verse
"And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns." - Philippians 1:6
Reflection Question
What area of your life are you finding it most difficult to surrender to God's control, and what's holding you back from fully trusting Him with it?
Quote
When we finally come to the end of ourselves and surrender our need to be in control of our own life to God, allowing Him to be in control, that's when things can finally begin to fall into place.
Prayer
Lord, help me to loosen my grip on the things I'm trying to control. Give me the courage to trust You fully, knowing that Your plans for me are better than anything I could devise on my own. Amen.
