He Holds The Future [God's Provision] Devotions Day 3

Hope That Never Disappoints

Devotional
Hope can feel risky. When we've faced disappointments, it's tempting to lower our expectations to protect ourselves from future letdowns. But God invites us to a different kind of hope - one that's anchored not in circumstances or people, but in His unchanging character. This hope isn't wishful thinking; it's confident expectation based on who God is and His faithful promises. When we place our hope in God, we're not setting ourselves up for disappointment. Instead, we're positioning ourselves to witness His faithfulness in action.

Bible Verse
"And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love." - Romans 5:5

Reflection Question
What past disappointments might be preventing you from fully hoping in God's promises today?

Quote
Placing our hope in God for His provision will not end in disappointment.

Prayer
God, help me to hope again. Remove the fear of disappointment and replace it with confident trust in Your faithfulness. Thank You that hoping in You is never in vain. Amen.
