Cross Fit [No Pain, No Gain] Devotions Day 1
Starting Your Spiritual Fitness Journey
Devotional
Just like beginning a new workout routine, starting your spiritual fitness journey requires intentional first steps. Many of us feel intimidated when we think about developing our spiritual lives, wondering where to begin or if we're doing it 'right.' The good news is that God doesn't expect perfection - He desires our willingness to grow. Think of it as training - each small step builds upon the last, gradually strengthening our spiritual muscles. When we commit to this training, we're investing in something far more lasting than physical exercise. While both physical and spiritual discipline have their place, focusing on our relationship with God yields eternal benefits that transform not just our lives, but the lives of those around us.
Bible Verse
Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come. - 1 Timothy 4:8
Reflection Question
What is one small step you can take today to begin training for godliness in your daily routine?
Quote
Physical training is good, but training for Godliness is much better. Promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.
Prayer
Lord, thank you for meeting me where I am in my spiritual journey. Help me to take those first steps in training for godliness, knowing that You are patient with my progress. Give me the discipline to prioritize my relationship with You. Amen.
