Unexpected Provision

Devotional
God's provision often comes in unexpected packages. We might pray for financial breakthrough and receive a job opportunity that initially seems beneath us. We might ask for healing and receive strength to endure instead. We might seek a changed situation and receive a changed heart. God's ways of providing rarely fit into our preconceived notions, but they always perfectly address our deepest needs. When we open our eyes to recognize His provision in all its forms, we begin to see evidence of His care everywhere.

"Abraham named the place Yahweh-Yireh (which means “the Lord will provide”). To this day, people still use that name as a proverb: 'On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.'" - Genesis 22:14

Lord, open my eyes to recognize Your provision, even when it doesn't look like what I expected. Thank You for knowing what I need better than I do. Help me trust Your methods of provision. Amen.
