However, spiritual strength grows when we choose to rejoice in hope, even when circumstances suggest otherwise. This isn't about forcing happiness or denying reality - it's about anchoring ourselves in God's faithfulness. Like a muscle that grows stronger through exercise, our spiritual resilience develops as we practice hoping in God's promises despite our current situations. This hope becomes a foundation for authentic love, enabling us to encourage others even in their darkest moments.
