He Holds The Future [God's Promise] Devotions Day 5

Living Hope

Devotional
Hope isn't just a concept or a feeling - it's a Person. When we understand that Jesus Himself is our hope, it transforms how we face every situation. This isn't about positive thinking or maintaining an optimistic outlook. It's about knowing that we're connected to the source of all hope, who has overcome every obstacle we'll ever face. Our hope isn't in our ability to figure things out or in favorable circumstances - it's in the living Christ who walks with us every step of the way.

Bible Verse
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead... - 1 Peter 1:3-7

Reflection Question
How does understanding hope as a Person (Jesus) rather than just a concept change the way you approach your current challenges?

Quote
Hope is not just a feeling or an emotion. It is not simply a concept to understand or something we talk ourselves into thinking. Hope is a person. Real hope has a name. His name is Jesus!

Prayer
Jesus, thank You for being my living hope. Help me to find my security and confidence in You alone, not in circumstances or feelings. Amen.
