Cross Fit [Push Your Limits] Devotions Day 1

Breaking Through Comfort Zones

Devotional
We all have comfort zones - those familiar spaces where we feel safe and in control. But God often calls us to step beyond these boundaries, not to stress us out, but to help us grow. Think about Peter walking on water. The moment Jesus called him out of the boat, Peter had a choice: stay in his comfort zone or step into the unknown with faith. The incredible part? When Peter focused on Jesus, he actually walked on water! This wasn't about Peter's abilities; it was about God's power working through his willingness to take that first step. Just like physical muscles need resistance to grow stronger, our faith muscles need challenges to develop. Today, God might be calling you to step out in faith in some area of your life. Remember, you're not stepping out alone - you're stepping out with the One who commands the waves.

Bible Verse
"For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength." - Philippians 4:13

Reflection Question
What's one area in your life where God might be calling you to step out of your comfort zone, and what's holding you back?

Quote
Whenever you think that you can't, through the power of Jesus, you can.

Prayer
Lord, give me the courage to step out of my comfort zone when You call. Help me to focus on Your strength rather than my limitations. Thank You for being faithful even when my faith wavers. Amen.
