Cross Fit [Push Your Limits] Devotions Day 3

Finding Common Ground

Devotional
In our diverse world, it's easy to focus on differences that divide us. But as followers of Christ, we're called to build bridges, not walls. Every person we meet is someone Jesus loved enough to die for, regardless of their beliefs, background, or choices. When we remember this truth, it changes how we approach relationships. Instead of seeing others as projects to be fixed or opponents to be defeated, we can view them as fellow travelers on life's journey. Finding common ground doesn't mean compromising our beliefs; it means showing Christ's love in practical ways that open doors for meaningful conversations.

Bible Verse
"Even though I am a free man with no master, I have become a slave to all people to bring many to Christ." - 1 Corinthians 9:19

Reflection Question
How can you intentionally find common ground with someone who holds different views or beliefs than you this week?

Quote
Find some common ground with those you're trying to connect with. You're not going to meet eye to eye with everybody. You're going to meet people with different political views, with different aspects of life, but try to find that common ground.

Prayer
Lord, help me see others through Your eyes of love. Give me wisdom to build bridges and find common ground while staying true to Your Word. Use me to show Your love to others. Amen.
