What Was I Made For? [Purpose] Devotions Day 3

Maintaining Divine Focus

Devotional
In our fast-paced world, it's easy to lose focus of our primary purpose. Distractions compete for our attention, and worldly priorities can slowly shift our focus away from glorifying God. This drift often happens gradually, almost imperceptibly. That's why we need regular self-examination and realignment with God's purpose. Just as a compass needs to be calibrated, our hearts need consistent reorientation toward God. When we maintain this focus, we find that our lives have greater clarity, meaning, and impact.

Bible Verse
'Let the message about Christ in all its richness fill your lives...' - Colossians 3:16

Reflection Question
What distractions or competing priorities might be pulling you away from living for God's glory?

Quote
The danger of losing focus is that if we aren't careful to keep God in the center of our attention and affection, we begin to act and live in ways that benefit us more than they are to glorify God.

Prayer
Holy Spirit, help me maintain my focus on glorifying God. Alert me when I begin to drift and guide me back to Your purpose. Amen.
