Covenant [God's Promise To Noah] Day 2
God's Unbreakable Promises
Devotional
Have you ever had someone break a promise to you? It can be devastating and make it hard to trust again. But there's something remarkably different about God's promises - they're unbreakable. When God makes a covenant, it's not just a casual promise; it's an eternal commitment. This truth should fill us with confidence and peace. We serve a God who has never broken a promise and never will. His word is reliable, His character is unchanging, and His commitments are eternal. In a world of uncertainty, we can anchor our lives on His faithful promises.
Bible Verse
'Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.' - Deuteronomy 7:9
Reflection Question
Which of God's promises do you need to hold onto most right now?
Quote
What I love about God is whenever He makes a promise, it's a done deal. And I tell you what, I've read this Bible over and over and over again, and I've heard a lot of other preachers preach, and I've got to set in on a lot of sermons and hear a lot of famous evangelists speek, and not one of them has ever preached on God breaking a promise because it doesn't happen.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for being a promise-keeping God. Help me to trust in Your faithfulness and rest in Your unbreakable promises. Strengthen my faith in Your word. Amen.
