Promises in the Waiting

Devotional
Waiting can be one of the hardest parts of our faith journey. Abraham received amazing promises from God, but these promises didn't materialize overnight. He waited 25 years for the promised son! In our instant-gratification world, we often struggle with God's timing. Yet it's in these waiting periods that God often does His deepest work in us. The waiting isn't wasted time - it's preparation time. God is working behind the scenes, developing our character and strengthening our faith.

Some time later, the Lord spoke to Abram in a vision and said to him, “Do not be afraid, Abram, for I will protect you, and your reward will be great.” - Genesis 15:1

Reflection Question
What promise from God are you waiting on right now? How can you grow in faith during this waiting period?

Sometimes the journey that God takes us on, it spans over our entire lifetime. We want things to happen now. We want God's promises now. But guys, trust God's promises.

Prayer
Lord, help me trust Your timing. When I'm tempted to doubt or grow impatient, remind me of Your faithfulness. Give me peace in the waiting and help me see how You're working even when I can't see it. Amen.
