What makes someone right with God? Is it perfect behavior? Flawless performance? Abraham's story reveals a beautiful truth: it's faith that God counts as righteousness. Despite his imperfections and moments of doubt, Abraham fundamentally trusted God. This trust, this belief in God's promises, was what God valued. The same is true for us today. Our relationship with God isn't based on our performance but on our faith in His promises. When we trust Him, He counts us as righteous.

Bible Verse
And Abram believed the Lord, and the Lord counted him as righteous because of his faith. - Genesis 15:6

In what areas of your life do you need to shift from trying to earn God's favor to simply trusting His promises?

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You that my righteousness comes through faith, not works. Help me to rest in Your promises and trust in Your faithfulness rather than my own efforts. Amen.
