The Flame That Forms Us [Identifying] Day 3

Freedom to Be Refined

Devotional
Sometimes we resist God's refining work because we're ashamed of our imperfections. We might try to hide our struggles or attempt to fix ourselves before coming to God. But here's the beautiful truth: God already knows every impurity in our lives, and He loves us anyway. Through Christ, we have been given authority over sin's power in our lives. This freedom allows us to approach God openly, letting Him identify and remove the impurities He sees.

Bible Verse
Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God. - 2 Corinthians 7:1

Reflection Question
What areas of your life have you been hesitant to bring before God for refinement?

Quote
The enemy uses shame to convince us to try and hide things from God. And we rationalize and actually try to do this. And it's wild because here's the thing. God already knows.

Prayer
Dear God, give me the courage to bring every part of my life before You. Thank You for loving me despite my imperfections. Help me to trust Your refining process. Amen.
