The Flame That Forms Us [Bold Faith Believes] Devotions Day 2

Faith in Our Brokenness

Devotional
Have you ever felt too broken or imperfect to approach God? Many of us have. We look at our doubts, our struggles, our past mistakes, and wonder if we're 'qualified' to come to God. But God's love doesn't require perfection - it invites our honesty. Like the woman who touched Jesus' robe, we can come to Him in our brokenness, with trembling hands and uncertain hearts. Jesus responds to genuine faith, no matter how feeble it might seem.

Bible Verse
Then the frightened woman, trembling at the realization of what had happened to her, came and fell to her knees in front of him and told him what she had done. And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.” - Mark 5:33-34

Reflection Question
What makes you hesitate to approach God? How might remembering His acceptance of imperfect faith change your approach to Him?

Quote
Sometimes we feel that we can't approach God and be in His presence because of our problems and our brokenness.

Prayer
Father, thank You for accepting me in my brokenness. Help me remember that I don't need to be perfect to approach You. Give me courage to come to You just as I am. Amen.
