The Flame That Forms Us [Bold Faith Believes] Devotions Day 4

Honest Faith Includes Doubt

Devotional
It's refreshing to know that doubt doesn't invalidate our faith. Like the father who cried out, 'I believe; help my unbelief,' we can be honest about our struggles while still holding onto faith. Doubt isn't the opposite of faith - it's often part of the journey toward deeper trust. Jesus isn't turned away by our questions or uncertainties. Instead, He meets us in them, helping us grow stronger in our belief.

Bible Verse
The father instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!” - Mark 9:24

Reflection Question
When you experience doubt, do you try to hide it from God or bring it to Him honestly? What might change if you viewed doubt as an opportunity for growth rather than a failure of faith?

Quote
Jesus is not afraid of your doubt. He is not afraid of your doubt. He's not disgusted by you because of doubt. He's not turned off by you because of doubt.

Prayer
Jesus, thank You for not being afraid of my doubt. Help me bring my questions and uncertainties to You honestly, trusting that You will help strengthen my faith. Amen.
