The Flame That Forms Us [Bold Faith Is Sacrificial] Devotions Day 5

The Joy of Surrender

Devotional
There's a profound joy in surrendering everything to Jesus - a joy the world can't understand. When we realize that having Jesus means having everything we truly need, letting go becomes easier. Like trading sand for diamonds, we're not really losing anything of lasting value. Instead, we're gaining something priceless. This perspective transforms our entire approach to following Christ. Sacrifice becomes celebration. Surrender becomes freedom. Loss becomes gain. When we have Jesus, we truly have everything worth having.

Bible Verse
But I will rejoice even if I lose my life, pouring it out like a liquid offering to God, just like your faithful service is an offering to God. And I want all of you to share that joy.
- Philippians 2:17

Reflection Question
What would change in your life if you truly believed that having Jesus was enough - more than enough - for complete joy and satisfaction?

Quote
If I have you, Jesus, I have everything.

Prayer
Father, help me find my complete satisfaction in Jesus. Show me the joy of surrender and help me trust that You are more than enough. Amen.
