Bold Faith [Faith And Friends] Devotions Day 2

Faith That Carries Others

Devotional
Sometimes the greatest act of faith isn't what we do for ourselves, but what we do for others. Consider the story of the paralyzed man whose friends carried him to Jesus. They didn't just walk him there - they climbed a roof and dug through it! Their determination came from a deep faith that Jesus could help their friend. Today, we might not need to dig through roofs, but we can still carry others to Jesus through prayer, encouragement, and practical support. When someone is struggling with doubt, grief, or hardship, our steady faith can help sustain them. We become like those four friends, doing whatever it takes to help someone else experience Jesus's healing touch.

Bible Verse
Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “My child, your sins are forgiven.” - Mark 2:5

Reflection Question
Who in your life needs to be 'carried' to Jesus right now, and what specific steps could you take to help them?

Quote
Jesus doesn't see the faith of the paralyzed man. He sees the faith of the paralyzed man's friends.

Prayer
Father, give me the courage and determination of those four friends. Show me who needs my support and help me be persistent in bringing them to You. Thank you for the privilege of being part of others' faith journeys. Amen.
