Bold Faith [Faith And Friends] Devotions Day 4

The Weight of Influence

Devotional
Being an influencer for Christ carries both privilege and responsibility. Jesus takes our influence on others very seriously. Our words and actions can either draw people toward God or push them away. This isn't meant to paralyze us with fear, but to inspire us to be intentional about how we live. Every day, we have opportunities to influence others through our responses to stress, our treatment of others, and our choices in difficult situations. When we handle these moments with grace and integrity, we create pathways for others to see God's character in action.

Bible Verse
But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea. - Matthew 18:6

Reflection Question
What aspects of your life might need to change to ensure you're being a positive influence for Christ?

Quote
In this day and age, it's a big deal to be called an influencer, right? Like a social media influencer. You, though, are an influencer. There's somebody who's watching your lifestyle. You are an influencer.

Prayer
Lord, help me understand the weight of my influence. Guide my words and actions so they consistently point others toward You. Give me wisdom to use my influence wisely and lovingly. Amen.
