Kingdom Logic [Lose Your Life To Find It] Devotions Day 4

Trusting the Gardener

Devotional
The hardest part of surrender isn't the letting go... it's the trusting. We fear that if we stop fighting for ourselves, we'll be left with nothing. We worry that God can't be trusted to provide for our needs or protect our interests. But consider who you're being asked to trust. This is the God who created the entire universe, who designed every intricate detail of your being, who loves you more deeply than you love yourself. The same God who provides for every bird and clothes every flower is asking for your trust. When Abraham left his homeland, he didn't know where he was going, but he knew who was leading him. When Moses chose to identify with God's people rather than enjoy the treasures of Egypt, he trusted that God's promises were more valuable than earthly riches. Your life surrendered to God isn't wasted... it's planted. And just as a farmer plants seeds expecting a harvest, God plants your surrendered life expecting something beautiful to grow. The harvest will be beyond anything you could have achieved on your own. Trust isn't a one-time decision; it's a daily choice to believe that God's plans for you are good, even when you can't see the full picture.

Bible Verse
'It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going.' - Hebrews 11:8

Reflection Question
What specific area of your life do you need to trust God with more completely?

Quote
Your life surrendered to him is not wasted. He doesn't waste anything. It's planted. And the harvest will be beyond measure.

Prayer
Lord, increase my faith to trust You with every area of my life. Help me remember Your faithfulness when fear tries to make me take back control.
