Name Above All Names [Resurrection Sunday] Devotions Day 5
The Gift of Salvation
Devotional
The most radical statement a human being can make is "Jesus is Lord." These three words acknowledge that your life is no longer your own, and surprisingly, that's where true freedom begins. When you declare Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you receive the greatest gift ever offered... salvation. This isn't something you can earn through good behavior or deserve through religious activity. It's a gift, purchased by Jesus' death and resurrection. The price was His life; the benefit is yours forever. When you receive this gift, you become part of God's family, with all the rights and privileges that come with being His child. Salvation means you're no longer defined by your past mistakes, your current struggles, or your future fears. You're defined by what Jesus has done for you. You have a new identity, a new purpose, and a new destiny. The same resurrection power that raised Jesus from the dead now lives in you. If you've never made this declaration, today could be the day your life changes forever. If you have, let this truth fill you with gratitude and confidence. You belong to the One who conquered death, and nothing can separate you from His love.
Bible Verse
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. - Romans 10:9-10
Reflection Question
Have you personally declared Jesus as Lord of your life, and if so, how does this truth impact the way you see yourself and your future?
Quote
This isn't something you earn. This isn't something you deserve. This is a gift purchased by the death and resurrection of Jesus.
Prayer
Jesus, I declare You as Lord of my life. Thank You for the gift of salvation that I could never earn but that You freely give through Your death and resurrection.
