Deeper Still [God's Power] Devotions Day 4

Strength in Weakness

Devotional
The world tells us to hide our weaknesses and project strength, but God operates by different rules. Paul discovered a beautiful paradox: 'My power works best in weakness. So now I am glad to boast about my weakness so that the power of Christ can work through me.' This isn't about celebrating failure or embracing mediocrity... it's about recognizing that our limitations create space for God's unlimited power. When we try to operate in our own strength, we limit what God can do through us. But when we acknowledge our need for Him, we become conduits for His miraculous power. Think about it: if you could handle everything perfectly on your own, where would be the room for God? Your struggles, your inadequacies, your moments of feeling overwhelmed... these aren't disqualifications from God's service. They're invitations for His power to be displayed. The secret isn't becoming stronger; it's learning to lean into God's strength right where you are, weaknesses and all.

Bible Verse
Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. - 2 Corinthians 12:9

Reflection Question
How might God want to display His strength through an area where you feel weak?

Quote
The secret of real strength is actually found in our weaknesses.

Prayer
Lord, help me stop trying to hide my weaknesses and instead trust You to show Your strength through them.
