Name Above All Names [Good Friday] Devotions Day 2

True Power Revealed

Devotional
The world often defines power through force, dominance, and self-preservation. But at the cross, Jesus revealed a completely different kind of power... the power to sacrifice for others. While crowds mocked Him and demanded He save Himself, Jesus chose to stay on the cross. He could have called legions of angels or destroyed His enemies, but His true identity as Messiah wasn't found in avoiding suffering. Instead, it was revealed through His willingness to endure it for our sake. This challenges everything we think we know about strength and leadership. The name above all names wasn't earned through conquest but through sacrifice. When we face difficult situations, we can remember that true power isn't about getting our own way or protecting ourselves at all costs. True power is found in laying down our lives for others, just as Jesus did for us.

Bible Verse
...he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names... - Philippians 2:8-9
