Deeper Still [Go With God] Devotions Day 2
You Have the Answer
Devotional
Imagine being in an escape room with friends, everyone frantically searching for clues. Suddenly, you discover the key that unlocks the door. Would you keep it to yourself? Of course not! You'd shout it out so everyone could find freedom. This perfectly captures your role as a believer. You possess the ultimate answer to humanity's deepest questions; the Gospel of Jesus Christ. While the world searches desperately for meaning, hope, and purpose, you hold the key that unlocks eternal life and peace with God. Yet sometimes we act as if this incredible news is meant to be kept private. We worry about being too bold or fear rejection. But consider this: people around you are genuinely lost, struggling with anxiety, broken relationships, and purposelessness. They need what you have. Your coworkers, neighbors, and family members are searching for the very hope that lives within you. They cannot call upon the Lord unless they believe, and they cannot believe unless someone tells them. That someone could be you. You don't need to be a theologian or have all the answers. You simply need to share what Jesus has done in your life. Your authentic testimony, combined with God's love, can be the key that unlocks someone's heart to receive Christ.
Bible Verse
For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”- Romans 10:13-15
Reflection Question
Who in your life is searching for hope and meaning, and how might God be calling you to share the answer you've found in Jesus?
Quote
Just like the person in the escape room who finds the answer to unlock the door, they will shout out the answer so that everyone hears, because they have the answer to find the way out. In the same way, God has given every believer access to the answer the world needs. You have the answer to find the way out.
Prayer
Father, open my eyes to see the people around me who need Your hope. Give me boldness to share Your good news and wisdom to know how to communicate Your love effectively.
