Deeper Still [God's Power] Devotions Day 2
God's Chosen Partners
Devotional
God doesn't need us, but He chooses us. This truth should both humble and empower us. Throughout history, God could have accomplished His purposes alone... He could have made His glory known to all nations without involving Israel, and Jesus could have performed miracles without human participation. Yet consistently, we see God choosing to partner with ordinary people. Why? Because partnership reveals His heart and displays His power through unlikely vessels. When God works through us, it's unmistakably divine. Peter's miraculous catch wasn't just about fish... it was a picture of what happens when we trust Jesus and follow His instructions. God desires to work through you too, not because you're perfect or have it all figured out, but because He loves to display His power through willing hearts. You're not an accident in God's plan; you're His chosen partner. He wants to work through your unique gifts, your specific circumstances, and yes, even your weaknesses to accomplish His purposes and reveal His kingdom to others.
Bible Verse
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. - 2 Timothy 1:7
Reflection Question
How might God want to partner with you in your current season of life?
Quote
God desires to partner with us and to work through us.
Prayer
Father, thank You for choosing me as Your partner. Help me recognize the ways You want to work through me today.
