Deeper Still [Go With God] Devotions Day 5
God Moves With You
Devotional
One of the most encouraging truths about following Jesus is that you never go alone. When God calls you to step out in faith, to share His love, or to take risks for His kingdom, He doesn't send you empty-handed. He goes with you, empowering you through His Holy Spirit. This promise transforms everything about how you approach your calling as a disciple-maker. You don't have to rely on your own wisdom, strength, or eloquence. The same God who worked through imperfect disciples like Peter, who turned a simple fisherman into a bold preacher, wants to work through you. As you walk step by step with Jesus, He not only shapes you into a mature disciple but also molds you into someone who can help others discover Him. This isn't about having all the right words or perfect theology... it's about being faithful to obey when He prompts you to reach out to someone. When you're faithful to follow His leading, you'll witness firsthand the power of God moving with you. You'll see conversations open up unexpectedly, hearts soften in surprising ways, and opportunities arise that only God could orchestrate. The world around you is lost in darkness, but Christ shining through you is a flicker of light that can illuminate His love in someone's life. Trust that as you go, God goes with you, accomplishing His will through His faithful ambassador... you.
Bible Verse
Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:18-20
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. - Acts 1:8
Reflection Question
Where is God calling you to step out in faith, trusting that He will move with you and empower you for His purposes?
Quote
God moves with us. When you're going with God, when God tells you to go, God goes with you.
Prayer
Holy Spirit, fill me with Your power and presence as I seek to be Your witness. Help me trust that You go before me and with me in every situation.
