Cornerstone [Living Stones] Devotions Day 2

You Were Chosen on Purpose

Devotional
There is a voice most of us have heard at some point. It whispers that you are too broken, too far gone, or simply not enough. It points to your failures and says they disqualify you. But here is what is true. God looked at all of it, your brokenness, your failures, the parts you are most ashamed of, and He still chose you. Not reluctantly... not as a last resort... but with intention. Scripture tells us that before the world was even created, God had you in mind. That is not a small thing. That is the kind of love that rewrites everything you thought you knew about yourself. You were not an accident. You were not overlooked. You were chosen, and that choice was made by the One who knows you completely.

Bible Verse
"Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure." - Ephesians 1:4-5

Reflection Question
If you truly believed that God chose you with full knowledge of your failures, how would that change the way you see yourself today?

Quote
"God looked at you. He looked at your brokenness. He looked at your failures. He looked at the parts that you think are disqualifying. And He chose you."

Prayer
Father, thank You for choosing me before I ever had a chance to earn it. Help me to receive that truth and let it replace every lie I have believed about my worth. Amen.
