Now Live Like It

Devotional
Knowing who you are in Christ is one thing. Living like it is another. It is easy to believe the right things on Sunday and then spend the rest of the week making decisions from a place of fear, insecurity, or old habits. But you are not obligated to live that way anymore. That is not who you are. Through the Holy Spirit, you have the power to put down the patterns that contradict your identity. Not through sheer willpower, but through daily surrender to the life Jesus offers. Every decision is a chance to live from the truth of who God says you are. So when you face a choice today, pause and ask yourself: what would I choose if I truly believed I was a beloved child of God? Because you are. Now live like it.

But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live. 14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God." - Romans 8:12-14

What is one area of your life where you have been living from fear, shame, or old habits instead of from your identity as a beloved child of God?

Prayer
Holy Spirit, give me the courage to live out who God says I am. Help me to make choices today that reflect my identity as Your child, not my old patterns. Amen.
