Dry Bones [God's Spirit] Devotions Day 1

Dry Bones and a God Who Asks Questions

Devotional
Have you ever looked at an area of your life and thought, "There is no coming back from this"? Maybe it is a relationship, a habit, a season of spiritual emptiness, or a version of yourself you have given up on. If so, you are in good company. Ezekiel stood in a valley full of dry, scattered bones and faced the same feeling. God did not bring Ezekiel to that valley to shame Him. He brought him there to show him something. And then He asked a question: "Can these bones live again?" Ezekiel did not pretend to have the answer. He simply said, "Only You know, Lord." That honest, humble response was exactly right. Because what happened next had nothing to do with Ezekiel's ability and everything to do with God's power. God is asking you the same question today. That dry place in your life, that area that feels lifeless and beyond repair, is not outside of His reach. It is actually the perfect setting for Him to show up. You do not need to have it all figured out. You just need to be honest with God about where you are. That is where revival begins. Not with a strategy, but with surrender.

Bible Verse
Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic message to these bones and say, ‘Dry bones, listen to the word of the Lord!'" - Ezekiel 37:4

Reflection Question
What is the "dry valley" in your life right now that you have quietly stopped believing God could restore?

Quote
"God is asking you the same question He asked Ezekiel. Can these bones live again? Can this dry place become green? Can you come back to life?"

Prayer
Lord, I bring You the places I have written off as hopeless. I choose to trust that what feels dead to me is not dead to You. Breathe life into those places again.
