You Do Not Need to Have It All Figured Out

In Mark 5, Jesus healed a man who had been living in tombs, tormented by a legion of evil spirits. The moment Jesus spoke, everything changed. The man was found sitting calmly, clothed, and in his right mind. When the man begged to go with Jesus, Jesus gave Him a different assignment. Go home. Tell your family what the Lord has done for you. That was it. No training. No waiting period. No requirement to have all the answers first. Just go and tell the truth about what you experienced. It is easy to convince yourself that you are not ready to share your faith. Maybe you feel like you do not know enough Scripture. Maybe your story feels messy or incomplete. Maybe you are still working through some things yourself. Here is the encouragement: Jesus did not wait for that man to be ready. He sent him out while he was still processing what had just happened. And that man's honest, unpolished story amazed an entire region. You do not need a perfect testimony. You need a true one. God is not waiting for you to have everything together before He can use your story. He wants to use it right now, exactly as it is. Your willingness matters far more than your polish.

So the man started off to visit the Ten Towns of that region and began to proclaim the great things Jesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed at what he told them. - Mark 5:20

What is one thing that is making you feel like you are not ready to share your faith, and is that reason actually as big as it feels?

Jesus didn't send this guy to seminary first. Jesus didn't ask Him to wait until He had all the answers and had it all figured out. Jesus sent this guy home with one assignment. Tell everyone what you've seen. Tell them what God did for you.

Prayer
Jesus, help me stop waiting for the perfect moment and trust that You can use my story right now. Give me the courage to simply tell the truth about what You have done. Amen.
