You Cannot Stop What God Has Started

After Peter and John were warned by the religious leaders to stop speaking about Jesus, their response was not a careful, calculated decision. It was a compulsion. They said: we cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard. Not "we should not." Not "we will not." We cannot. The reality of what they had experienced was simply too big to contain. That is what a genuine encounter with Jesus does. It does not just give you information to pass along. It gives you a story you are compelled to tell. When God has truly moved in your life, staying silent starts to feel impossible. Maybe you are at the beginning of that journey. Maybe you are still figuring out how to put words to what God has done. That is okay. Start there. Start with the honest, unfinished version of your story and trust that God will use it. Someone around you is walking through exactly what you have already walked through. They are thirsty, and you have found the water. Do not walk past them. Has God redeemed you? Then say so. Tell someone what He brought you out of. Your story is not just yours. It is a light that can lead someone else out of the dark. Go tell what you have seen and heard. You cannot stop what God has already started.

What would it look like for sharing your faith to move from something you feel obligated to do into something you genuinely cannot hold back?

Prayer
Father, let what You have done in my life become something I am compelled to share. Use my story to bring someone else into the freedom and hope I have found in You. Amen.
