Seeing What You're Missing

Have you ever looked directly at something and completely missed it? Not because your eyes failed you, but because your mind had already decided what it was going to see? That kind of blindness is more common than we think, and it shows up in our spiritual lives too. Some of the most educated, Scripture-saturated people in Jesus' day stood face to face with Him and walked away unchanged. It wasn't a lack of information that held them back. It was a heart that had already made up its mind. They could see Jesus, but they couldn't truly see Him. Here's the encouraging part: Jesus isn't hiding from you. He isn't making Himself difficult to find. But He does invite you into something more than just collecting facts about Him. He invites you into a real, living relationship where your eyes are genuinely opened to who He is. You don't have to have it all figured out to start. You just have to be willing to look honestly and openly at what's right in front of you.
