Following Jesus [Believe] Devotions Day 5

Say It Out Loud

Devotional
Real belief does not stay hidden. When something truly changes you on the inside, it eventually comes out. You talk about it. You live differently because of it. You cannot keep it to yourself. Romans 10:9-10 connects two things that belong together: believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth. These are not two separate steps. They are two expressions of the same reality. When Jesus is genuinely Lord of your life, that truth will find its way into how you speak, how you choose, and how you love the people around you. This is not about performing for others or having the perfect words. It is about the natural overflow of a life that has been genuinely transformed. The early disciples in Acts could not stop talking about Jesus even when it cost them everything. Not because they were trying to be bold, but because what they believed was too real to stay quiet. You are invited into that same kind of life. Not a life of religious obligation, but a life where Jesus is so real to you that He naturally shapes everything you do and say. Discipleship is not a one-time decision. It is a lifelong journey of letting Jesus be Lord, day after day, in the big moments and the ordinary ones. And that journey is one of the greatest adventures you will ever live.

Bible Verse
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. - Romans 10:9-10

Reflection Question
If someone watched your daily life this week, would they be able to tell that Jesus is truly Lord of your life?

Quote
Discipleship takes us beyond a one time decision and into lifelong transformation.

Prayer
Jesus, let my life be a genuine reflection of what I believe. Give me the courage to confess You not just with my words, but with the way I live every single day. Amen.
