Cornerstone [The Rock Of My Salvation] Devotions Day 5

Unshakeable in Every Storm

Devotional
Life has a way of testing every foundation we build upon. Relationships disappoint, health fails, careers crumble, and dreams shatter. In these moments, we discover what we've truly been building on. If you've been constructing your life on shifting sands; your performance, others' approval, your circumstances, or your own strength... when chaos hits, that sand shifts and you're left devastated. But when you stand on Jesus as your firm foundation, you're not done when the storms come. Peter learned this lesson well. The same man who once denied knowing Jesus later stood boldly before those who wanted to silence him, refusing to recant not out of stubbornness, but out of certainty. He had built his life on something immovable. The question isn't whether storms will come... they will. The question is whether you'll be standing when they pass. Jesus as your cornerstone doesn't prevent life's difficulties, but He ensures you won't be shaken by them. Your identity, your hope, your future, and your peace all rest on the one foundation that cannot be moved. Are you still hedging your bets, or have you fully committed to building your life on this unshakeable stone? Today is the day to stop trying to lay your own foundation and start building on the cornerstone that will never fail.

Bible Verse
'He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken.' - Psalm 62:2

Reflection Question
When life's storms hit, what do you find yourself clinging to for stability, and how can you more fully anchor yourself to Jesus?

Quote
Jesus is the cornerstone, and salvation is found in His name alone. Build your life on that stone. Build your life on that stone and you will not be shaken.

Prayer
Jesus, be my unshakeable foundation in every storm of life. Help me build everything on You so that I will not be moved when difficulties come.
